Thanos stands above the Green Goddess Guardian of Grayskull Teela to represent his victory over her when his forces invade Eternia and defeat Queen Adora and her children to breach Grayskull and capture the Infinity Gauntlet, killing She-Ra in the process.

Thanos did not/could not make the Infinity Gauntlet, but learns from Death...who is Skeletor's sister who left Eternia generations ago...that the Gauntlet exists and has been housed in Grayskull since the beginning of Time, with the Infinity Stones scattered across the Universe. However, before Thanos can seize the Gauntlet, Teela sends it through a portal to the End of the Universe, that place at the very edge of Reality with the Abyss beyond, and Thanos destroys her.

Thanos vows to Death he will obtain the Gauntlet and the Stones, and erase all existence to create the Oblivion Serenity, and Death becomes the keeper of Castle Grayskull and Eternia a nightmare hell realm as Thanos and his forces depart to capture the Stones and the Gauntlet, armed with the weapons they plundered from Grayskull.
